Between this afternoon and tonight, trying to clear our the WPTV inbox, run through some community submissions, and get a few videos uploaded for subtitling.

Reporting a bug I ran into earlier today. I cleared comments and email throughout the afternoon today; working with the few submissions we have waiting and planning on doing a handful of subtitles this week while we wait for additional WordCamp video to roll in.

Having a talk with Noel about some design questions as well.

It would be nice to be able to find all subtitled videos based on the language (without you guys manually adding the tag for each one).

That’s a great idea.

We actually do add a custom taxonomy for language on the posts, but the language selection feature vanished at some point. The meta is there – we just need to use it. That said, being able to directly query the subs themselves would be a lot more awesome if that were somehow possible – saving, as you say, the manual task of updating the language field and making things more instantaneous

Different taxonomies for languages versus subs? Doing it manually would be a pain, as I’m not sure there’s a way for anyone to be notified when a new translation is added to the subtitles.
I’ll check.

Mr. Pick, how would you feel about a video tutorial for subtitling WordPress.tv videos? I really, really want to post about this to see if we can enlist volunteers.

(yay, second, +1, etc.)
I can whip up a blog post as well.

Smart – I will get to this ASAP

This one is in the bag. A wptv blog post would be cool
Would be awesome if we could get the word out to the localization teams on this. Also think we’re going to want to comb through the backlog of dotSUB videos and get them feeding into wptv, so people don’t translate things that then don’t make it to primetime

Tonight we return to Tim Ferriss in the hope that I can wrap up that transcription, and then I’ll be moving on to Matt Cutts.

Managed up through the end of the main presentation tonight; have to wrap up the Q&A tomorrow and then it’s on to the Cutts video.
