Editing a little more SF footage, having a go at putting the archive shortcode video together and working on some of my templates for a more streamlined production process.

Short week this week – I’ll be on holiday for two weeks from Thursday on. Any urgent requests best served ASAP

Playing with the new archives shortcode for WordPress.com and writing up a script for a quick overview tutorial on using and customizing it

Scott Porad video now uploaded and processing. ETA about an hour. Finished notes. Next – looking at the archives shortcode and having a crack at my standardization uber-plan – already made up some scripting templates for starters.

Sketching out a new set of master formats & elements to standardize, spruce up and allow for agile screencast development that retains polish and has a better flow from point-to-point (while I wait on renders & transcodes)

Logging and adding audio and video to bins to pave the way for some multi-cam sync-sound editing from the Matt interviews, dev day, etc. Then – checking through the remaining WordCamp footage assigned to me to see what I have to work with and the best approach.

Good Wednesday from a decidedly rainy Japan. I’m having a split day – working in the morning and evening with other stuff to tend to in the afternoon. I’ll be:

1.) Publishing John Lilly’s presentation
2.) Gathering raw footage for PollDaddy Ratings & Gravatar vids
3.) Making a start on graphical elements for PollDaddy Ratings and Gravatar vids

Good Tuesday morning from sunny Japan. John Lilly’s video is still transcoding (even after an over-nighter). Apparently squishing a 148GB video into under 1GB takes time – like the perfect cup of tea.

Today I’ll be:

0.5.) Catching up on what’s going on with everyone via the internal P2

1.) Putting together a package of the new WCSF idents to send to our collaborator Dave C

2.) Researching and writing the PollDaddy video

3.) Researching and writing the Gravatar video

4.) Recording voice overs for both of the above

5.) Publishing out John Lilly’s presentation when the video’s done transcoding

6.) Heading out to celebrate three years of being married to my lovely wife

Couple of WC SA 08 videos published out just now (backdated, so not on front page). Asking the design folks their opinion on something. Then back to the announcement vid

Published out a new user tutorial. Email & comment mod sorted for now. Reviewing some footage for the promo, writing the script, and preparing logos while uploading another couple of videos
